Interior & Environmental Design

Program Objectives

This specialization is designed to impart knowledge and skills for small-scale entrepreneurship, personal management and functional interior concepts that are fiscally appropriate and aesthetically pleasing.

The prospectus emphasizes integration of interior design knowledge with economic trends, legal considerations and regulatory requirements.

Students learn residential and commercial interior design through working drawings, specifications, space planning, materials, finishes, furnishings, fixtures and equipment.

Eligibility for Specialization

  • Students should secure 3.0 CGPA in semesters 1 to 4.
  • At least 60% marks are required in the subject of Interiors.
  • Attendance should remain at 80% up to the 4th semester.
  • Students must have studied and passed Introduction to Environmental Studies, Basic Drawing Studio, Physics for Home Economics and Introduction to Computer Graphics.
  • Eligible candidates must qualify a written test and interview.
  • Final selection remains subject to the availability of seats.
