Program Objectives
The prospectus presents HDFS as a discipline focused on development across the lifespan and on the structure and functioning of families.
Students study how individual and family development changes across diverse contexts and environments and how research and theory can be applied to practice and policy.
The program also emphasizes professional, ethical and culturally sensitive conduct along with helping, leadership and administrative skills for human services.

Eligibility for Specialization
- Students should secure 2.5 CGPA in semesters 1 to 4.
- At least 60% marks are required in the foundation courses of HDFS.
- Attendance should remain at 80% up to the 4th semester.
- Students must have studied and passed English with good results in semesters 1 to 4.
- Eligible candidates must qualify a written test and interview.
- Final selection remains subject to the availability of seats.
